�It is more common for me to witness first time brides and grooms who focus more on the superficial elements of their Miami wedding or Florida Wedding rather than the meaning and ritual of coming together. For my couples who have walked down the aisle more than once, the experience is much more intimate. The idea of uniting two families is the spotlight. For example, I witnessed a wedding where the groom had three children, and the bride had two. The theme of the wedding was unification of the whole family. It was a beach setting where the groom, bride, and each of the children carried a small amount of sand. Each took a turn in pouring their sand into the ocean and as the sand mixed, it symbolized the two families coming together.

Many brides believe the wedding is an �all about me� affair and tend to forget the feelings or thoughts of the groom. Grooms will usually give into the ideas of the bride just to please her and avoid arguments. Couples must once you are in a committed relationship it means all decisions are shared and discussed as a couple. I encourage my brides to let their grooms be more involved.

For my wedding, which I did plan and in a record amount of time, My husband asked me to marry him the day after I gave birth to our daughter at the hospital guess what of course I said yes. He called my parents in Europe to ask if they agreed � My parents planned to come for the birth of our daughter & his sister in law was in vacation with his niece also for the birth of our little Tess � After having a c-section, a week later during a diner with my parents he announced we are getting married in four days. Wouah!!!! Four days � could you believe for me a Miami wedding planner �. I was in shock! Imagine all my list in my head was passing through � all this process that are taking time etc� So we made a list and we split the tasks. My husband took care of the food and me, I did the rest. It was four very intensive days, but an amazing moment, which I will remember it all my life.

We were focused on the essential things to have an amazing and intimate time with my parents, a few member of his family and some close friends. In the event of a large wedding, it is true that couples are more concerned of the appearance and materialistic aspect of the wedding rather than the true meaning behind everything. As a European woman, if you want to get married in a church it is custom for the couple to attend a retreat where you have the opportunity to think about the real meaning of a marriage. It is a moment to reflect your vows, commitment, respect and loyalty to one another. The retreat is to focus on the true meaning of a marriage. Remember the movie, �License to Wed� shows a young couple who would like to wed at a local church however, the minister insists before exchanging vows, they must complete a marriage prep course. The course will introduce the struggles awaiting the couple-to-be, and it will test the waters of commitment. I will recommend this to clients, just as a suggestion. The question asked is also questioning the subject of marriages and divorces. We can try with the question you ask to think of an explanation for the high divorce rate in Europe as well as in USA I think people get married younger and therefore make decisions that really aren�t right for them. Also, I think as the number of divorces continues to increase. People are starting to see them as �no big deal�. It appears as if marriage means less and less because getting a divorce is now so easy. Also, people don�t want to put the effort into marriage. If things start to get tough, they automatically start to think of a divorce rather than working through it. I consider a conservative perspective: that the divorce rate is high here because people are failing to give the necessary level of commitment or they don�t take marriage seriously. � I have also seen the opposite perspective: that our marriages are failing in part because the emphasis on marriage and family is so strong. It�s so strong, in fact, that it�s rare for

young people to date for several years without becoming engaged, and it�s common for people to marry after knowing each other for just a year or two, if not sooner. It�s also fairly common for couples to have children as soon as they are married �
